Task: videos on TeXmacs |
The purpose of this task is to demonstrate the features of TeXmacs using short high quality video clips. These videos are usually screencasts, but may be presented in another form. The task leader will take care of the following aspects:
Collecting and selecting contributed videos.
Conversion of the videos into appropriate (free) formats.
Distribution of the videos on the TeXmacs website and other suitable websites for maximal visibility.
Personally contribute videos when appropriate.
Maintaining a list of contributors.
Maintaining the webpages relative to this task.
Vicent Douce.
François Poulain.
Contributed videos will be selected on quality, relevance, up to dateness and absence of overlap. For demonstrations on how to use the keyboard or mouse, please make sure that a small keyboard viewer and the mouse pointer are visible on the video.
One recommended free video/audio format is Ogg/Vorbis. Popular softwares for making screencasts are VLC (under GNU/Linux) and Quicktime (under MacOS, with postconversion to a free format). Contributors should agree that the videos will be distributed under a free license (GPL or FDL).
