System wyboru fontu

W TeXmacs, fonty mają pięć głównych cech:

Nazwa (roman, pandora, concrete, itp.).
Wariant (roman, maszynowy lub sans serif).
Rozmiar (bazowa wielkość (w punktach) i względna wielkość (normalny, mały, itp.).
Seria (jasny, średni, tłusty).
Kształt (w prawo, kursywa, mały, itp.).

Jest to bogatszy wybór niż w LaTeX 2ε. Wielkość bazowa jest ustawiana dla całego dokumentu poprzez Dokument→Czcionka→Rozmiar.
